Big Apple: Week 1

Greetings from the city that never sleeps! Since I can remember, I have been fascinated by New York City. I has remained at the top of my travel wish list, and whilst I have travelled throughout Europe and most of Asia, I have never made the journey to the US of A. I feel incredibly blessed to finally explore the city of my dreams with the man of my dreams.

I simply cannot describe how magical this place is. Words simply cannot do it justice. There is just something about the vibe, the buzz, the people, the architecture, the food, everything. We are staying in a cute little studio in the West Village, close to the Chelsea Markets, High Line, Pastis and plenty of great shops, cafes and restaurants.

About Me...

Let me introduce myself. I am a research assistant, makeup artist and reality TV addict who lives in sunny Western Australia, in West Perth with my wonderful boyfriend Linken, aka "The President" in our charming little house built in 1903.

I believe in karma, keeping it real & treating others the way you would like to be treated. I don't claim to have a perfect life or have all the answers, but I am inspired to be the best person I can be, live life to the fullest and to follow my dreams and I'd love you to come on the journey with me.

This blog will not be a place for me to toot my own horn or pretend to be something I'm not. I promise to be honest and bring all of me to the table, whether it be good or not so great. It is a place to share knowledge and inspiration and hopefully make you laugh from time to time.

F*ck Yeah Chicken Tortillas!

- aptly named as that's what my boyfriend yells out (and possibly fist pumps on occasion) when I tell him that's what's on the menu for dinner. This recipe is a mid week fave, quick, relatively clean and is guaranteed to fill you up. Whenever I pass on a recipe to a friend, I always try and include substitutions so you can use up what you may already have at home, so feel free to experiment and let me know how you go. Serves 2.

Welcome to Grazie Bella

Welcome to my very first post! This blog has been something I have wanted to get up and running for many years, and is the creative outlet I have craved for a long time. I love to share beauty & hair tips, ideas and recipes with all of my friends, and am looking forward to sharing it all to the wider blogosphere!

Having been through some delightful highs and heartbreaking lows over the last few years, I decided to create Grazie Bella as a celebration of life, love and everything I am thankful for.

 I want to acknowledge and share some of the things that inspire and fill me with joy, namely my group of girlfriends, whom I dedicate this post to. We have celebrated each others highs, been each others rocks during the lows, and despite how individual we all are, continue to show each other the true meaning of unconditional love.
